Fastforward to June 2008 and a cross country clinic with the Saddle Club. Geoff thought all his birthdays had come at once! It was a great experience doing all the fences we're now familiar with and to top it all off we had a go at the steps - listen out for the girlie yelp first time round.

Video Feb-Apr 2007
Here's some video from various schooling sessions, lessons and our first venture into the big wide world to do dressage.
Most important lesson learnt - horses usually have reins attached to bridles and not handlebars as demonstrated in the first few clips.

Back in the saddle (Feb-Apr 07)
All rested and repaired we had a go at pairs dressage with Brian and Blue and gained our first fancy ribbon for dressage - 3rd place!
Poor Geoffrey was subjected to far too much dressage and went on strike with a splint. Luckily, I could pretend to like dressage for a bit longer and avoid jumping with Miss Diane lending me Tommie Tom for another dressage test. Unfortunately for Geoffrey this fuelled my desire to do more dressage because we placed 3rd.
But fun was back on the horizon with a capital F when we accompanied Hugo to Larkhill. Little Geoffrey couldn't believe how far the fields went on for and got himself far too excited.
Our second outing was to Hall Place with more dressage. Best quote from the judge: 'Ride to a slower rhythm, lovely pony and it could be a lot better'.
November/December 2006
We had another pop at dressage but the speed issue was proving tricky. Best quote: 'A little onward bound'.
So we focussed on jumping in December, oops, minor mishap in the victory lap (after two 3rd places) and I was laid up for the rest of the year.

Shiny new pony (Sept 06)
A new blog for Geoffrey fans to watch our exciting journey from llama to pony.
We've got 17 months to write about so this might take some time to bring upto present day!
Geoffrey's start at Wellington was rather exciting, if a little chilly.

But our journey starts here - our first jumping lesson (nice numnah) and making the decision to part with hard earned cash in exchange for a lovely shiny new pony.
